The Nichols College Parents Committee (NCPC) closely aligns parent involvement with the College by identifying and utilizing the talents and resources of parents for the encouragement, engagement, and enrichment of the students' education and their future as alumni of the College. Here’s what you will find in your room when you arrive on campus…

A single bed, extra-long mattress (36”x80”), closet/wardrobe, desk, chair, shades/blinds, and a shower curtain

What to bring…

  • Hand dolly (or some extra help!)
  • Pillow
  • Bed linens (extra-long sheets 36”x80”, blankets)
  • Curtains (they are provided in Shamie Hall)
  • Toiletries(including toilet tissue)
  • Towels
  • Hangers
  • Cell phone
  • Waste basket
  • Desk lamp (non-halogen)
  • School supplies
  • Cable wire(coaxial)
  • Personal items (such as an alarm clock, radio, posters, photos, etc.)

What you can have in your room…

  • Coffee/Hot Pot
  • Microwave(no greater than 600 watts)
  • Refrigerators (no larger than 5.0 cu. ft.)
  • George Foreman Grill
  • Television
  • Power strip with surge protector
  • Fish (these are the only pets allowed)

Items prohibited in the residence halls…

  • Cooking appliances such as: toaster oven, electric burner
  • Space heater
  • Air conditioner
  • Ceiling fan
  • Extension cords (only power strips with surge protectors)
  • Candles or incense
  • Halogen lamp
  • Pets (except fish)

Laundry facilities…

For your convenience, all residence halls are equipped with washing machines and dryers. There is no cost associated with these machines.
