Technology on Campus

A wired learning environment.

In today’s business world, employers expect you to be well versed in a wide array of business technologies. To help you prepare, Nichols College is continually identifying - and implementing - the technologies that will enhance our individual services, campus learning/living environment and provide the greatest practical benefit to students. Students can also take advantage of software and PC purchase plans.

In the classroom

Each classroom on campus is equipped with the following:

  • Personal computer
  • LCD projector
  • CD/DVD drive
  • VHS player
  • Overhead speaker
  • Wireless mouse

Several faculty members also use tablet computers to demonstrate via LCD projector. The instructor’s notes can then be saved and sent out to students electronically.

One room on campus is equipped with an electronic whiteboard, which allows faculty and students to save what is written on the board to an electronic file for future reference.

Wireless hotspots

Student learning extends far outside the classroom. Nichols provides wireless hotspots in key areas across the campus so that you’re never far from Internet access.
