The Princeton Review Names Nichols A “Best In The Northeast” College

August 27, 2020

DUDLEY, Mass. – Nichols College is among the top colleges in the Northeast, according to The Princeton Review, the nationally known education services company. Nichols was one of 224 colleges named to the “2021 Best Colleges: Region by Region” website feature posted August 18.

The Princeton Review features colleges and universities that are considered academically outstanding and worthy of consideration in a college search.

The editors noted Nichols’ academic focus on experiential learning, rigorous coursework, and career-building resources, including the pioneering Professional Development Seminar, as providing students with “the mindset of getting ready to work.” One student commented, “Nichols College does everything in its power to assure [you] get the connections you need in order to succeed after graduation.”

Reviewers also commended Nichols for its study body, describing the campus as “a tight knit community that has each other’s backs,” and peers as “the epitome of a family.”

“Our mission of providing a dynamic, career-focused business and professional education in a supportive environment clearly resonates with our students,” said Nichols College President Susan West Engelkemeyer, Ph.D. “Recognition from The Princeton Review is further proof of our success and the commitment of our faculty and staff in shaping tomorrow’s leaders.”

The Princeton Review examines colleges and universities across five regions in the US and abroad – Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, West, and International regions. It surveys administrators at several hundred colleges in each region, and considers information from staff visits, college counselors, advisors, and student surveys. Students are asked to rate their colleges on dozens of issues and to answer questions about themselves, their fellow students, and their campus life. Comments from surveyed students are quoted in the school profiles on The Princeton Review.

Overall 655 colleges and universities are represented in the Princeton Review’s “regional best” lists for 2021, constituting about 23 percent of the nation’s 2,800 four-year colleges
