Scholarships and Financial Aid at Nichols College
At Nichols College, we’re committed to making education both accessible and affordable.
Through a wide range of college scholarships and grants, our students receive the support they need to pursue their goals while keeping costs manageable. With renewable merit scholarships, need-based institutional grants, and federal and state aid, Nichols offers many programs designed to reward achievement and meet financial need.
Every scholarship is renewable, ensuring that students who remain in good academic standing can continue to benefit year after year. And for those navigating the financial aid process, our team provides one-on-one support, including FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) help, workshops, and personalized advising. No matter your financial circumstances, Nichols is committed to providing the financial resources you need to succeed.

Merit Scholarships
Nichols recognizes academic talent, leadership and extracurricular involvement through generous merit awards. These scholarships do not require the FAFSA to qualify, but students must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA and full-time enrollment (12+ credits/semester) to renew.
| Scholarship | Amount | GPA Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| President’s Scholarship | $27,000 | 3.50 and above |
| Provost’s Scholarship | $24,000 | 3.00 – 3.49 |
| Dean’s Scholarship | $22,000 | 2.50 – 2.99 |
| Faculty Award | $18,000 | 2.00 – 2.49 |
Grants and Additional Aid
In addition to scholarships, Nichols offers a variety of grants that reduce your overall cost of attendance. Grants are a powerful form of tuition assistance because they do not need to be repaid, making them a valuable resource for families.

How to Apply for Financial Aid
The financial aid application process begins with one form: the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Step 1: Complete the FAFSA at fafsa.gov.
- Step 2: Submit by Nichols’ priority deadline: March 1.
- Step 3: Provide requested documents by June 1.
- Step 4: Massachusetts students must apply by May 1 to be considered for state aid.
- Step 5: Review your financial aid package, which may include scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study.
