Priscila Alfaro-Barrantes

Originally from Costa Rica, Dr. Alfaro-Barrantes worked in professional soccer before coming to the U.S. During her graduate studies at Northern Illinois University, she worked in event management and recruitment of minority students, many of whom were student athletes. While working on her doctorate at Florida State University, she had the opportunity to work closely with Division 1 athletes and was part of a team that researched Olympic team identity. She has presented at multiple national and international conferences, co-authored a book chapter, and published in peer-reviewed journals.
