DUDLEY, Mass.— Readers of the central Massachusetts region’s definitive source for business news, Worcester Business Journal (WBJ), have again chosen Nichols College as the “Best College for Business Education” in the newspaper’s 6th annual Best of Business Awards.

Worcester Business Journal attracts a readership audience of business decision-makers who are managing businesses large and small. More than 90 percent of its readers are the senior executive in their organization. This year, WBJ had 1,569 responses to its 53-category Best of Business survey, according to Worcester Business Journal Editor Brad Kane.

Nichols College President Susan West Engelkemeyer, Ph.D., said the recognition reflects Nichols’ vision to be the college of choice for business and leadership education.

“On behalf of Nichols College faculty, staff, and students, we are honored to have again been chosen by readers of Worcester Business Journal to be the best college for business education and to also be recognized by Worcester-area employers,” said President Engelkemeyer. “The fact that we’ve won this award four years in a row—and five out of six times—speaks to the outstanding reputation for business and leadership education and training that Nichols College has in central Massachusetts.

“I’m proud of our faculty and staff who educate, prepare, and support our impressive students—tomorrow’s innovative and entrepreneurial leaders—for their path to career success,” she added. “Nichols students have the benefit of receiving leadership training and faculty mentoring; and being part of many team-based experiential courses and projects and presentations. Whether our graduates embark on a more traditional career path, ignite their entrepreneurial spirit, or follow their passions outside the business world, Nichols will always be proud to play an important role in their exciting journey of learning, leading, and succeeding.”

The Worcester Business Journal award comes on the heels of Nichols College’s recognition as one of Princeton Review’s best colleges in the Northeast; and being named a national College of Distinction for providing innovative, teacher-centered undergraduate education and preparing its graduates for real-world success.

Nichols College and other category winners will be honored Jan. 23, 2019, at WBJ’s 6th annual Best of Business Awards event at the Beechwood Hotel in Worcester.
