The 5th Annual Shrewsbury Street College Shuffle 2011, the biggest food festival in Worcester that’s just for college communities (including students, faculty, staff and families), is set for Saturday, September 10th from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. along Shrewsbury Street in Worcester.
The schedule for the day includes food tastings from participating restaurants on Shrewsbury Street, including: Allgos Sweets & Drinks; Boulevard Diner; Brew City Grill & Brew House; Caffé Dolce; Coral Seafood; Flying Rhino Café; Funky Murphy's; Italian Baker; Junior's; KJ Barrons; La Scala restaurant; Leo's Ristaurante; Little Caesars; Mac's Diner; Manzi's Café; Mezcal; Pampas Churrascaria; Parkway Diner; Piccadilly Pub Restaurant; Piccollo's; Subway; Sweets; Wonder Bar of Worcester.
Music and street performances by campus performance groups are sure to entertain participants, including: AMC's Jazz Ensemble, Clark's From Here to Zanzibar & Shenanigans, WPI's Jazz Ensemble, Technicords & Katherine King and many more. There will also be vendors and sponsors set up along the street, so bring your Woo Card and have it swiped to earn points.
To purchase an admission button for $10 in advance, please bring your Nichols I.D. to the Center for Student Involvement and see Joe Ginese or Beth Gionfriddo. The button must be worn to attend the event and participate in the food tastings and other activities along the Restaurant Row.
