Nichols College rises in U.S. News Best Online Programs rankings

DUDLEY, Mass. – Nichols College has earned recognition in the 2024 U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs rankings in several categories. In the competitive Best Online Master’s in Business Programs category, which excludes the MBA, the college rose 10 spots to No. 140 out of a pool of nearly 250 ranked institutions. Nichols currently offers master’s programs in organizational leadership (MSOL), accounting (MSA), and counterterrorism (MSC), as well as an MBA program and an EMBA (executive MBA) program.

The College ranked No. 124 in the Best Online Bachelor’s in Business Programs category, and No. 153 among the broader category of Best Online Bachelor’s Programs, which includes online degree programs across all academic disciplines. The College’s Undergraduate Online (UGO) program awards a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree and is targeted toward non-traditional students, working adults, and those who seek to complete degrees started at other institutions. Nichols offers a generous CPL (Credit for Prior Learning) program that awards students up to 45 credits for professional work experience, including workplace training, military service, and professional certifications.

Carnegie Mellon University (Tepper School of Business) ranked No. 1 among top master’s in business programs, while the University of Florida ranked No. 1 among top bachelor’s in business programs. Nichols was also ranked among the top 345 Online MBA programs, which assigns a ranking to only part of the list and then ranks institutions alphabetically. Nichols continues to receive high marks from national publications for excellence in academics, experiential learning and career outcomes. The sports management program is now ranked 20th in the nation, surging 20 spots from its most recent ranking. Forbes included Nichols among its best master’s in cybersecurity online programs. Nichols is ranked 8th nationally among undergraduate business schools for salary potential and 10th nationally as a best value business college by Payscale.
