Mary Ann Gallo

Mary Ann joined Nichols as an adjunct faculty member in 2018.  She received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication with a concentration in Television and Radio and a Master of Science in Corporate and Organizational Communication from Northeastern University.

Prior to teaching, Mary Ann worked as a Chyron Operator and Commercial Producer in the Production Department at WPRI TV Channel 12 in Rhode Island and later as a Public Relations Specialist at the Rhode Island Department of Transportation.  In addition, Mary Ann has worked in news at radio stations in Massachusetts and as a freelance writer for a variety of organizations and publications for several years.

She co-authored a grant with her husband that funded a documentary that aired on the public television network.  In addition to teaching at Nichols, she teaches at other area colleges and universities in the area of English Composition and Communication and creates online content for courses using several different Learning Management Systems.
