The Center for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion emerged as a continued and intentional development of the office formerly known as the Office of Diversity & Inclusion. To be more in line with best practices and to serve the needs of our ever-evolving demographic, it was imperative our space reflected these efforts. The CDEI is our campus conduit for free thought and tough debate. A space to challenge ideas, step outside your comfort zone, and thrive with knowledge, resources, and support.
To become a leading force of social change on campus within the area of diversity, equity, and inclusion. A center where all students, staff, and faculty from marginalized backgrounds feel, validated, heard, and supported.
We strive to cultivate a campus culture that supports, empowers, and educates one another through dialogue, mentoring, programming, and training. The Center for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (CDEI) serves as a resource for students, staff, and faculty to enhance their knowledge through social, communal, and educational discussions. We work to develop intentional programming initiatives in order to effect concrete change with measurable and attainable goals and outcomes.
