Joseph Klimavich, MS, APR
Joe Klimavich is a seasoned “pracademic” with over 30 years of practical experience in public relations, graphic design, marketing, fundraising, and social media. With a particular interest in issues management and crisis communication, Joe has worked in various industries, including healthcare, managed care, banking, insurance, and public relations consulting.
Joe has also been an adjunct communication instructor for over 25 years at various New England colleges and universities. He has taught in-person and online courses in public relations, interpersonal communication, mass media, effective speaking, leadership, and management.
Throughout his career, Joe has recognized the importance of solid communication skills. His teaching philosophy is to engage students in an interactive, experiential process that encourages the practical application of the necessary skills to be successful in the communication profession.
Joe is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Boston Chapter, and the Faculty Forum. He holds a Master of Science in Professional Communication (MSPC) degree from Clark University and received his undergraduate degree from Worcester State University, where he was presented with the Distinguished Alumni Award in education, the highest non-degree recognition the university bestows on alumni.
