Learn. Lead. Succeed

Office of Diversity and Inclusion

Hours:

Our Story.

The ODI grew out of our conversations. Late nights and lunches. Dorm rooms and classrooms. We needed to talk about where our campus community is at, where we came from, and where we’re going. So we are, and the ODI is our campus conduit for free thought and tough debate. This is our opportunity to pull our own seat up to the table, and to help each other prepare for the challenges that come with that access.

A commitment to the conversation.

Join us on the couch is Fels 214. Our doors are always open to students, faculty, and community members interested in provocative discussions about race, gender, sexuality, disability, age, and disenfranchisement across the cultural spectrum. Our office is a resource to promote awareness, inclusion, and education to empower students to go farther, dream bigger, and change the world for the better.

Leadership starts at home.

Every leader faces difficult decisions, complex challenges, and evolving definitions of success. As a community, we believe that an open, honest dialogue about representation is vital to the success of our graduates. In order to develop and sustain an inclusive learning environment, the Nichols College Office of Diversity & Inclusion strives to embrace diversity by supporting all our students and alumni.

Our Goals

  •     To stand as a resource for students of diverse backgrounds and identities
  •     To promote awareness education in our community
  •     To advocate for underrepresented people on campus and off
  •     To promote leadership, relationship building, and networking as a means of affecting positive change
