On campus, you’ll find plenty of co-curricular activities to keep you engaged. Think of them as opportunities to explore your interests, find new ones, make new friends and develop leadership skills that you’ll use long after graduation.
Delta Mu Delta. The national honor society for college students studying business administration, Delta Mu Delta promotes higher scholarship in training for business and rewards student achievement.
Mu Kappa Tau. The national honor society for college students studying marketing, Mu Kappa Tau recognizes and honor scholarly achievement and promotes the advancement of marketing education.
Omicron Delta Epsilon. Nichols Kappa Chapter of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the international honor society for economics, demonstrates the College’s commitment to academic excellence in this field.
Phi Alpha Theta. Phi Alpha Theta is the national honor society for history students. The Alpha Mu Eta chapter at Nichols recognizes student excellence and encourages research, teaching and the exchange of ideas between students, teachers and writers of history.
Zeta Alpha Phi. The Nichols College honor society, Zeta Alpha Phi, is a select group of men and women who have shown academic excellence in the classroom and active participation in campus activities. Its aim is to stimulate interest in academics and enhance the College’s academic stature.
Chi Alpha Sigma. Chi Alpha Sigma is the first national scholar-athlete society to honor student athletes who have excelled in the classroom and in athletic competition. It recognizes outstanding academic achievement by intercollegiate varsity letter-winners while encouraging good citizenship, moral character and leadership.
Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). A club of students who have won letters in varsity sports, SAAC organizes Nichols sports banquets and rallies. SAAC is governed by the Athletic Council, which is composed of varsity team captains and the officers of SAAC.
Elbridge Boyden Society. Named for 19th Century Worcester-area architect Elbridge Boyden, the society honors juniors and seniors who have demonstrated outstanding leadership on campus. The Boyden Society is a candidate chapter for membership in Omicron Delta Kappa, the prestigious national leadership honor society.
Campus Activities Board (CAB). The Campus Activities Board is dedicated to promoting student participation and spirit in campus activities. CAB organizes events such as comedy shows, contests, movies, musical performances, Spring Weekend and dances. The President and Vice President are also active members of the student Executive Advisory Board.
Student Government Association (SGA). SGA serves as the governing body of the student community of Nichols College and has jurisdiction over club activities, social events, student conduct, residence hall living and other aspects of campus life. Representatives are elected by the student body on an annual basis.
Commuter Council. The Council is a social and advocacy organization for commuter students, providing a link between commuter students and campus activities. Its president is an active member of the Executive Advisory Board.
The Ledger. The Nichols College yearbook is published annually by this student club. The Ledger captures the activities of each school year, documenting the college experience.
Windfall. Nichols literary magazine provides a vehicle for student writers and artists to express their thoughts and ideas. The magazine is published once a year.
WNRC-FM. Broadcasting since 1975, Nichols student-run radio station delivers a variety of music and events programming 24 hours a day to campus and the community. From polka to punk, indulge your musical passions and learn radio management and on-air skills.
