Federal Reserve Economist to Address Nichols Faculty April 17th

Jane Little, Vice President and Economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, will speak on "The Current Economic Situation" at a Nichols College faculty dinner on Thursday, April 17th. The event will be hosted by Trustee Robert B. Kuppenheimer '69 and President Debra M. Townsley, Ph.D.

Little is a Vice President at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, where she has been with the research department since starting as a research assistant in 1966.

Little's research focuses on international macroeconomic issues. In the past few years, she has written or coauthored papers on the evolution of the international monetary system, asset prices and economic stabilization, and technology diffusion. A recent conference paper, coauthored with Richard Cooper, was "U.S. Monetary Policy in an Integrating World: 1960 to 2000."

In addition to her duties at the Bank, Little has also worked on the Governor's Council on Economic Growth and Technology and the Task Force on the Health Care Industry. She is a member of the SRAC Committee on International Economic Analysis.

Little holds a B.A. from Wellesley College and M.A.L.D. and M.A. degrees from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
