Nichols College Holds 29th Dudley Appreciation Dinner

For 29 years, Nichols College has been inviting its good neighbors, employees and friends of the Town of Dudley, Mass., to dinner in appreciation of their continued support for the College. This year's elegant banquet-style dinner was held August 21st in Daniels Auditorium.

Nichols President, Dr. Debra M. Townsley, welcomed the 175 residents and urged them to help themselves to a "down-home" feast of New England clam chowder, corn on the cob, corn bread, ravioli, grilled barbecue chicken, sausage and peppers, roasted potatoes and salad. Sodexho Campus Service's dessert was a big hit -- angel food cake with heaps of locally-grown strawberries and blueberries topped with whipped cream!

President Townsley updated guests on the construction of a new 60-bed apartment-style residence hall for upper classmen scheduled for occupancy prior to fall 2008 and encouraged everyone to attend the free Fischer Institute cultural events on campus.

It was a perfect way to celebrate the Town of Dudley's 275th Anniversary.
