- Encore Performing Arts "...is a not-for-profit agency, which represents carefully selected professional performing
groups and solo artists who tour throughout the Northeastern USA to present performances and
workshops for children and family audiences."
- Young Audiences of Massachusetts "32 ensembles offer over 60 interactive music, dance, and
theatre programs spanning many cultures and artistic genres."
- Mobile Ed Productions "programs are on chemistry, physics, live animals, starlab
planetariums, light and lasers, TV productions (Technical skills needed), and robots (Technical skills
needed). We also present programs on historical characters such as Abe Lincoln, Martin Luther King,
Thomas Edison, Mark Twain and Women in History."
Advocacy
- National PTA's Arts in Education Programs and Publications
The Arts in Education Department of the National PTA focuses on advocacy for
quality arts education. The site offers program overviews, resources for
activities, advocacy materials, articles, an online gallery, as well as related Web
links.
- The Center for the Arts in the Basic Curriculum (CABC) was established to "engage teachers, administrators, and the public in
dialogue abut the power of the ars to educate all children, and the changes in curriculum, teaching strategies, and classroom structure necessary to access that power." Good articles/papers on
the arts as an education resource as well as links to other websites.

Schoolgigs.com "Schoolgigs.com is a resource for storytellers, puppeteers, musicians, dancers,
magicians, ventriloquists, speakers, theatre artists and others seeking guidance
on performing in schools." Included are listings of state arts commissions and chapters of Young
Audiences, which contain links to rosters of artists who perform presentations of puppetry,
storytelling, music, dance, magic, and more in schools. Developed by David Heflick, author of How to Make Money Performing in
Schools, a comprehensive manual on developing, marketing, and
presenting performances in schools.

- League for the Advancement of New England Storytelling (L.A.N.E.S.)
"LANES is the Northeastern regional organization for storytelling. Chartered to promote the art and
appreciation of storytelling, LANES is a non-profit membership organization with member storytellers and
story fans throughout the New England states and upstate New York."
- Connecticut Storytelling Center, Connecticut College, New London, CT. "The Center is a clearinghouse for Connecticut storytellers. The Center's Education Program brings storytelling to
hundreds of city children and their teachers. The Center also sponsors the Connecticut Storytelling Festival each
April."
