ABOUT JIM DOUGLAS
A longtime proponent of the arts in education, Jim Douglas has had a successful, full-time career "singing history alive" in schools
throughout New England since 1974. (And yes, he is listed in The New England School
Performing Artist Directory!) He has produced/published a number of resources for teachers,
including Songs of New England: A Sourcebook for Teachers and Music in Every Classroom: A Resource Guide for Integrating Music Across the
Curriculum,Grades K-8 (Libraries Unlimited, 1998).
Jim Douglas is also an information professional (currently the Director of Conant Library at Nichols College, Dudley, Massachusetts.
He has a Master's Degree in History from the University of Connecticut and
a Master of Library Science from Southern Connecticut State University.
