Academic Advising
You will be assigned an academic adviser to help you set academic goals and make informed choices. He or she will help you plan your course load and make sure that all your major and minor requirements are met, on time and in the right order!

Computing Services / IT
You will find the latest technology in our "smart" classrooms and a qualified support staff ready to assist you on a wide variety of computing issues. Personal computer support is located on the lower level of the Library, or you can use our online help desk 24/7.

Learning Differences
We are committed to providing the resources each student needs to reach their learning potential, therefore, Nichols has out-standing educational and counseling services for students with learning differences.

Accommodations are made on an individual basis, and may include:

  • extended time on exams,
  • testing in the Academic Resource Center,
  • alternative exam formats, and
  • limited course schedules.

Orientation
At Nichols, we give a warm welcome to both first-year students and their parents as part of a very comprehensive Orientation program. 

You will meet your classmates through a fun mix of group activities, you will register for classes and enjoy a fabulous BBQ picnic.

Parents will get an overview of dining hall options, housing and residential life, and advice on everything from "soup to nuts!"

Tutoring
Nichols Academic Resource Center is dedicated to helping students be successful independent learners.

Tutoring is provided both in person and online through a professional and certified tutoring staff!
