Message from Your Dean

Dear Students:
As Dean of Students, I have the responsibility for overseeing:

• Athletics
• Campus Ministry 
• Career Services
• Housing and Residence Life
• Judicial Affairs
• The Robert C. Fischer Institute
• Student Activities
• Student and Mental Health Services
• Student Services

I also have the responsibility for ensuring that students comply with the Student Code of Conduct.

Each year at summer Orientation I speak with our incoming students about my hope for a great academic year and my expectations with regard to student behavior. In my presentation, I identify three things that I ask of all students so that as a community we can live, socialize and learn together safely. These are:

• Respect all state, federal and local laws;
• Respect the people within our community; and,
• Respect the property of our community.

Let us work together to ensure the safety of each member of our community and develop a level of mutual respect that allows us to hold one another accountable to these attainable standards.

I offer my personal support and the support of the Student Services staff to help you make the best of your Nichols College experience. I hope they are the best and most growth producing years of your life.
