Do I have to attend Orientation?

Orientation is an important step in your transition to Nichols College.  Although orientation is not mandatory, it is strongly recommended that all new students attend one of the sessions.

What if I cannot attend Orientation?

If you are unable to make any of our sessions please contact Heather Barbour, Director of Student Activities & Orientation, at heather.barbour@nichols.edu.

How do I sign up for Orientation?

Orientation booklets are mailed soon after the May 1st deposit deadline passes.  When you receive your packet please complete the registration form and mail or fax it back.  Please note that we are unable to take phone or e-mail registrations.

What do we do at Orientation?

Orientation is a day and a half program designed to assist new students in making the transition from high school to college.  In addition to meeting other members of the Class of 2012, you will complete important paperwork, meet with faculty members, register for classes and have your ID photo taken.  When you leave orientation on Day 2 we want you to feel confident and ready to start your college career at Nichols.

Is there a cost to attend Orientation?

There is no fee to attend Orientation and all meals are provided for you.

Can students drive themselves to Orientation?

Yes, students may bring their cars to orientation, although they will not be allowed to leave campus during the program.

I need special accommodations to attend Orientation.  Who do I contact?

If you or a family member need special accommodations at Orientation please contact Heather Barbour at heather.barbour@nichols.edu to discuss your needs.

Is there a special program for Transfer students?
