| A Bachelors of Arts requires the successful completion of 120 academic credit hours (approximately 40 courses). To specialize in Psychology, students are required to complete 30 credit hours (15 courses) in this area of expertise. The following chart summarizes the distribution of credit hours. |

The Psychology major provides students with experience in the practical application of the essential foundations of psychology, and in scientific research methods used to study human affect, behavior, and cognition. The psychology major fosters students' growth and development by enhancing abilities in information literacy, service learning and critical thinking.
