Welcome from the Interim President
One in ten Nichols alumni becomes a president, CEO, or business owner, and I'm proud to one of those homegrown leaders Nichols is famous for producing.
Armed with my Nichols accounting degree, I eventually joined Commerce Insurance Company as CFO in 1975, and earlier this year, retired as CEO and president of the Commerce Group Inc. As a former chair of Nichols Board of Trustees, I leapt at the chance to ensure that Nichols remains true to its mission to develop tomorrow's leaders through a dynamic, career-focused business education.
At Nichols College, we understand the needs of adults who are working towards their graduate and undergraduate degrees. Adult Learners have unique challenges.
Our Graduate and Professional Studies programs allow students to meet their educational goals in a way that fits their lifestyles. Classes are held in both in-class and online formats.
You may complete your entire degree online or you can choose our new, accelerated option that combines classroom and online instruction. Both options speed up the process of earning a Nichols College degree.
You can start your online coursework at any time during the year. Undergraduate and graduate programs not only provide flexibility, but they ensure that you graduate with the technological skills that are critical in our 21st century world.
While we deliver innovation to our adult students, we also keep constant those things that we have discovered to be key in completing your degree: an esteemed faculty, dedicated staff, and reputation for delivering a strong business education. Faculty members are real-world professionals who bring insight, experience, and enthusiasm to the classroom. The Graduate and Professional Studies staff is knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly.
What Nichols College does well is prepare graduates to be leaders in providing solutions. We look forward to helping you grow.
Best regards,
Gerald Fels
