My name is Chris Girardin, I live in Worcester, MA and am married with 3 children (twin daughters who are 9 and a 7 year old daughter), and a Keeshond (dog) named Keesha.
I have been teaching part time in the MBA program at Nichols College for over 9 years. I mainly teach Finance and Investments and Securities Analysis. I have spent over 21 years in the accounting (4 years public accounting) and finance fields (Banking, Investments, & Credit). My MBA is from Nichols (‘91).
I presently am a senior director for a company that makes accounting software. I head up an accounting and finance consulting team, and am involved in the company's investments and related work. My job requires that I travel very extensively on an international basis. I average around 70,000 miles or more per year. My office is in downtown Boston on State Street next to Fanueil Hall.
I am also the CFO of a family owned business involved in the retail/wholesale of high-end pet foods and supplies that I incorporated over ten years ago. I also serve on the boards of several non for profit agencies.
In my spare time, I enjoy running (I used to run marathons but now stick to half marathons and shorter races), biking, snow shoeing, and other outdoor activities with my family.
