E-mail Access
Every registered student of Nichols College receives a Nichols email account. You may access this account by clicking on the EMAIL link at the top of any Nichols College web page.

The following screen should appear:

USER NAME: first initial, middle initial (if you have one), last name
(ex: if your name is James A. Smith, your username will be jasmith
If no middle initial exists, the username would be jsmith)
PASSWORD: Your initial password is as follows: #fmlMMDDYYYY
The password begins with the # symbol
"fml" is the first/middle/last initials of the person's name
"MMDDYYYY" is the date of birth in month/day/year format,
(example: #jas06071954)
EMAIL ADDRESS: Firstname.Lastname@nichols.edu
(example: James.Smith@nichols.edu)
Email Problems?
- Do you have an apostrophe in your name? If so, remove it.
Example: O'Brien would be obrien
- Do you have a space in your name? If so, remove it.
Example: La Fountain would be lafountain
- Do you have a dash in your name? If so, keep it.
Example: Smith-Jones would be smith-jones
- Did you forget to type in the # symbol at the beginning of your password?
- Did you zero fill your date of birth? (example: June 1st would be 0601)
- Did you type in 4 digits for your birth year? (example: 1989)
- Is the NUMLOCK key depressed on your keyboard?
- Did you try typing your password into NOTEPAD or WORD to verify that the password is being typed correctly? If so, then cut and paste it into the PASSWORD box.
If you are still unable to log on to your Nichols email account or you have changed your password and have forgotten it, please visit the I.T. Department with a photo ID to reset your password.
Email Deletion Policy
- Graduating Students - Email accounts will be deleted on August 1st of the year of graduation.
- Withdrawn Students - Email accounts will be deleted immediately upon notification to Information Technology Department.
- Returning Students- Email accounts will NOT be deleted. However, email inboxes are cleared out every summer for a fresh start at the beginning of the fall semester. Please take a moment to save any pertinent emails to your own PC prior to leaving in May.
