The second stage of career development, exploration, involves learning about various career fields and evaluating their desirability and feasibility. In support of exploration, the Office of Career Services has implemented the Career Insider Online Career Library.
What is the Career Insider Online Career Library?
The Career Insider Online Career Library is an educational tool that gives Nichols students unlimited, 24-hour online access to:
- 90+ Career Insider E-Books: Students download the electronic versions of over 90 Career Insider Interview and Resume, Career Topic, Industry, and Employer Guides.
- 4,000+ Employer Profiles and Company Rankings: Up-to-date Employer Profiles for more than 4,000 employers. Career Insider obtains "insider information" by surveying thousands of employees each year. The Career Insider Research Team takes real quotations from the surveys, giving your students the hard-to-get, company culture information that gives them a competitive advantage in their interviews.
- Industry and Profession Profiles: These articles cover a broad range of disciplines, giving students quick, easy-to-read profiles of industries and occupations.
- Career and Profession Discussion Boards: Access to the Internet's most popular career topic Message Boards, the Career Insider Electronic WaterCoolerTM. Here your students have access to conversations with employees at their targeted companies, and altogether 4 million Message Board postings.
- 3,500 Full-Text Career Advice Articles: Covering a wide variety of career topics, from the cover letter to the offer letter.
