First-year PDS is designed to set a framework for a successful beginning of the college years. The heart of the course is the dissemination of information about the services and programs of the college, knowledge of the staff available to assist students, and individual learning on topics such as time management and study skills. 

The Objectives of First Year PDS:  

To provide the Nichols College first-year student with information and support to help make a smooth transition to college.

To provide students with the necessary skills and tools to achieve success academically and personally.

To share information about the services and activities of the college and to help students make an informed choice about their major and career options.
