Cross Campus Critical Issues

In 1999, the Nichols College Faculty Teaching Center received a substantial grant from the Davis Educational Foundation, established by Stranton and Elisabeth Davis after his retirement as chairman of Shaw's Supermarkets, Inc, to develop the Cross Campus Critical Issues (CCCI) Program.

During a three-week period in both the fall and spring semesters, in classes from all disciplines, students focus on a critical socio-economic issue.

Projects aim to better enhance our entire College environment by engaging students in learning and scholarship.  In order to accomplish this, faculty utilize pedagogies that emphasize multidisciplinary and engaged forms of learning.

CCCI projects are a true cross-campus effort and strive to extend the limits of engaged learning in higher education.
