Job Description


Duties and Responsibilities

1. Maintain scheduled tutoring hours for the duration of the semester and academic school year.

2. Acquire the skills necessary to tutor successfully in face-to-face tutoring sessions as well as with collaborative sessions.

3. Meet training requirements throughout the semester as instructed by the director.

4. Address tutoring issues and professional development when in the center.

5. Engage in marketing and promotional activities as scheduled throughout the school year.

6. Participate in center activities, conferences, and other center-related events as they occur throughout the school year.

7. Maintain accurate tutoring records throughout the school year.

8. Assist with the development of various materials including center forms, handouts, and marketing materials.

9. Perform various center-related tasks as assigned by the director, the assistant director, professional tutors, and/or graduate assistant.


Physical Job Components

1. Light to moderate lifting of files, supplies, and office materials

2. Able to use office and telecommunication equipment

3. Walking required

4. Traveling is expected at times

5. Ability to communicate in writing and orally

6. Able to adapt to a flexible schedule (i.e., work days, evenings, and weekends)
