Mary DeFeudis
Trustee

"Faculty support is my way of helping Nichols to obtain and retain the best, the "heroes" in our students' lives here at the College. Each one of the faculty members imparts a valuable piece of the Nichols experience and philosophy."

Mary DeFeudis was born in Worcester, the oldest of nine children, to George and Catherine Streeter. She has spent most of her life in the Worcester area, living in Northborough for over 30 years. Mary has two children-Gino DeFeudis and Elizabeth Giguere, both of Northbrook, and six grandchildren.

With a deep and abiding love of children, she has dedicated her time and resources in support of organizations and projects that promote and support the health and well being of children, especially in the field of children's cancer. She is a major supporter of St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, as well as being the largest donor in support of the new cancer wing at UMass Memorial Hospital.

Mary DeFeudis has been associated with the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Mark R. Ungerer Driving for the Cure Golf Tournament for many years and recently became one of the first benefactors of the newly established Mark R. Ungerer Endowed Fellowship to benefit the Adolescent and Young Adult Program at the Dana Farber.

Mary serves on the boards of UMass Memorial Foundation, Hope Lodge, the new Worcester Center for the Performing Arts, and the Worcester Chapter of the American Red Cross. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Nichols College. Mary is also an owner of Worcester's entry into the Can-Am semi-pro baseball league-the Worcester Tornadoes, 2005 League champions.
