If I could sum up my responsibility while employed as a Paralegal, Advertising Account Executive, Marketing Manager, Restaurant Manager, Director of Religious Education, High School Instructor, College Instructor or Director of General Education, I would use one word "communication."  It is the bridge between business and education. In the classroom I communicate knowledge to the students so that they can communicate their perception of that knowledge to me.  I believe this process transforms an individual; this does not only apply to the student, but the teacher as well.  Education is the exchange of ideas and concepts, which cause evolution and transformation.

As a full time Director of Education for a career college, I am constantly in motion working with faculty, staff and students.  Juggling this with my six-year adjunct faculty position at Nichols has been a challenge, but one I have enjoyed meeting.  In my "spare time" I love being outside and enjoy hiking, biking, skiing and lying on the beach.  My daily routine of meditation, yoga, pilates and speed walking keeps my mind clear and my energy high.  Throughout the year my husband and I love to travel and have had the opportunity to visit Europe, South America, Mexico, Africa and the Caribbean.  At our home in Douglas, which we like to refer to as "animal world," we live with our dog, Frodo and cat, Cato, several fish and various uninvited visiting squirrels and chipmunks.  There is always a wonderful smell and a beautiful sound coming from our home.  My husband is a Chef and Saxophone player.  And finally my greatest joy in life has been motherhood. I am extremely proud of my 22-year-old son who has graduated from Wheaton College and is working at Harvard continuing his education.

I look forward to working with you in class or online in one of the following classes.
