Teaching Philosophy/Goals
Being a student of Nichols a few years ago, I realized that I needed to use my knowledge from my formal college classes and apply it to my workplace. It wasn't always easy. Most of my students earn their degree in the evening or on-line as I did. When I teach my classes, I encourage students to discuss real life situations they have to deal with each day. This enables me to relate their experiences to the content of the class and I teach them how to use the classroom content to resolve issues and gain efficiencies. In fact, some students have actually brought their ideas from their projects to their employers with success. My passion is teaching students how to succeed in their careers and my joy is keeping in touch and hearing about their successes. After all, their success is my success.
Interests
I enjoy wine tasting, collecting and learning about wine regions. My love of cooking leads me to make up my own gourmet recipes. I love bike riding, working out and of course my family. I sit on the board of one new start up company just because I like to be a part of new things.
