I am a graduate of Bowdoin College and Yale University.  After several years as a project manager in the construction industry, I began teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level and eventually became a full-time professor, author, and consultant.  In my 31 years of teaching, I have taught Principles of Management, Supervision, Project Management, Introduction to Business, Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Research Methods, Statistics, Economics, International Business, Business Strategy and Policy, Business Communications, Human Resources Management, Conflict Management, Entrepreneurship, Small Business Management, Organizational Behavior, TQM, Finance, Principles of Investments, Contemporary Management Seminars, Women in Management, Operations Management, Managing Change, Manager and Society, Ethical Decisive Making for managers and Building and managing teams in organizations.  I have been on the faculties of Northeastern University for the past 30 years, Merrimack College for 25 years.  I also taught at Mt. Ida College, Pine Manor College, Wentworth Institute, the Eastern Nazarene College Lead Program, Endicott College, Daniel Webster College, Fisher College, and the University System of New Hampshire (Granite State College).  I also serve as faculty in the MBA programs for Anna Maria College, Nichols College, and Endicott College.  Currently I am the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs at Endicott College. 

During this time I have received six awards for excellence in teaching-two from Merrimack College, one from Eastern Nazarene College, two from Northeastern University where I was University College's first recipient and recently from the University System of New Hampshire (Granite State).  In 2002, 2004, 2005, and 2006, I was selected for the "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" publications.

My management consulting practice has conducted training programs for the past 18 years serving the following companies and organizations: Dexter Corporation, (Nynex) Verizon, Permag, NHANG, Jackson Lumber Company, Houghton Mifflin, Cranney Companies, The City of Salem, Medtronic, Beverly Hospital, Gen3Partners, Busbelts, Turnstiles, HWD (Heartwood of Danville), Clark Cutler, McDermott, DRAKA USA, Edgewood, Henkel USA, Quality Support Group New England, and Canyon Ranch.

I am also the author, co-author of these highly successful books: Matrix Management, Management Concepts for the 90s, and Small Business Basics.  Currently, I am the Associate Dean of Endicott College's Graduate Programs in Organizational Management, Sports Management, and the MBA program located in Beverly Farms, Massachusetts, and several worldwide locations.
