Resources for Faculty and Staff

Dorothy Millhofer, director of communications, is focused on publicity for current students, faculty, programs and staff, as well as upholding the image, integrity and mission of Nichols College. 

Responsibilities include daily updates to the Nichols homepage under "News & Events" and the Nichols College blog; press releases to local, regional, and national media; authorship of the Nichols College Style Guide for both print and web content; and releases to all hometown newspapers (primarily for dean's list, graduation, and academic honors).

You are encouraged to keep the Office of Communications informed about your news, including projects, special honors and publications. If you have a news worthy event, please contact Communications at least two weeks prior to the event.

Local newspaper calendar listings may be submitted directly by club officers as long as the advisor has approved the content for quality and accuracy.

There is no official campus photographer. Each department has been asked to purchase a digital camera for use by staff members.

MARKETING

Pat Korch, senior graphics designer, is responsible for:

• producing the graphics style guide and monitoring Nichols graphic branding
• providing graphics support for the website
• arranging for professional photographers
• designing marketing materials as required for each department

SPORTS

Kristen DiChiaro, sports information director (SID), oversees communications for all athletic sports.

ALUMNI

Kristy Cullivan, director of alumni relations, handles all alumni news, including the publishing of a email newsletter "Nichols & Sense."

PRESIDENT'S OFFICE

Cindy Brown, assistant to the president, publishes a monthly campus email newsletter called "Bits & Bytes."

Rayanne Drouin, Director of Enrollment Services, produces a monthly Graduate & Professional Studies email newsletter called "INC."

LIBRARY

Jim Douglas, director of library services, produces a fall and spring edition of the Conant Library email newsletter called "Check It Out."

CAREER SERVICES

During the year on a monthly basis, Lori Smith, assistant director of career services / internship coordinator, produces a newsletter called "Career Connections."
