Cathy Temple
After serving as an adjunct professor for two years, Professor Temple joined Nichols as a full-time faculty member in the fall of 2014. She has been teaching writing full time since 2002 when she joined the Writing Department at Grand Valley State University. Before that, she held several other college-level positions including faculty advisor, trainer, workshop presenter, and a Writing, ESL, and Special Needs Tutor. She considers teaching a way of life, not just a career or vocation.
Research Interests
Professor Temple’s research interests include studying issues of social class and socio-cultural values as they relate to dominant value systems, particularly in terms of how those impact the educational system.
