Paul Lambert

Professor Lambert has been at Nichols since 1995 and currently serves as program chair. He has taught a variety of courses in his time here; he has a particular interest in studying political leadership and sees political biography as a way to discover what makes leaders tick. A member of several committees over the years, he currently serves on the Faculty Senate, the Curriculum Committee, and the Education Preparation Program Committee. In an effort to promote interest in history outside of the classroom, Professor Lambert founded and serves as the faculty advisor to the Nichols College History Club. He also founded and advises the Nichols chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honor society. Along with his history colleagues, he has run the quadrennial Nichols Poll in every presidential election since 2000.

Hobbies

Outside of Nichols, Professor Lambert has judged projects by Worcester County students in middle and high school for the Central Massachusetts History Day competition. In addition, he is a board member and the vice president of the Central Massachusetts Council for the Social Studies, a professional organization for area educators. For fun, Professor Lambert enjoys reading biographies, visiting Cape Cod with his wife and sons, and participating in the annual Falmouth Road Race.
