Business Core Curriculum

Nichols strives to educate the “whole” you with a well-rounded business core curriculum tailored for professional and personal growth as a life-long learner. It is for this reason that Nichols business graduates are highly regarded by corporate recruiters and hiring managers.

Our business core curriculum is based on “hands-on,” experiential learning about the world around you. You can expect to be transformed into a business leader who accepts challenges, navigates through economic change, and motivates teams to succeed in a global economy.

Three separate groups of courses, including: Foundation, Focused Choices and Business Core, blend arts and sciences with leading management skills and cutting-edge technology. The Business Core represents 37 credit hours of courses that cover critical areas, including accounting, computer information systems, finance, management and marketing. You also complete 18-27 credits within your major area for a total of 121 credit hours.

And to ensure that you are a competent communicator, you are required to complete at least two writing-intensive courses prior to graduation, thus adding value to your educational investment.

If you are unsure of which business major to choose, your academic advisor will be there to help you strategically plan to get what you want and connect your passions with career and life purpose.
